Our new jewelry store opened in August 2021 at “Le Bora Bora, by Pearl Resorts”, member of “Relais et Châteaux”.
“Moe Moeā “was founded in partnership with “Bora Bora Original”, established in our little paradise since 2014.
We’ve gained our reputation by being courteous, welcoming and experienced, which explains why our customers come back to share their special occasions with us.
We carry unique Tahitian pearls and custom jewels created by our own bench jeweler, as well as seasonal collections from some of the most well-known jewelry names like Yves Spinelli.
If you care for quality and refined elegance, “Moe Moeā” will be your signature.

A History of the Tahitian Black Pearl
The Tahitian pearl was introduced in New York in1976,
by one of the world’s most respected pearls trader,
Salvador J. Assael.
This was after his return from French Polynesia
where he had met Jean Claude Brouillet, then owner of a pearl farm located in the island of « Marutea » in the Tuamotus atolls.
Salvador returned from his visit with a selection of exquisite black pearls and created an exceptional necklace.
He challenged his old friend Harry Winston, the legendary Fifth Avenue jeweler, to sell it.
A deal was struck, the necklace was sold…
Salvadore J. Assael had introduced a new gem to the world…
Thanks to a genuine friendship, the Tahitian pearl is now registered at the G.I.A (Gemmological Institute of America)
as « natural colored Tahitian cultured pearl »
